About TAG-CRC
TAG-College Research Center (TAG-CRC) is part of Talal-Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAG-College), which is one of the major faculties of the German-Jordanian University (GJU), Amman-Jordan. TAG-CRC was founded in November 2007 by Dr. Talal-Abu Ghazaleh to be home to a rigorous and world-class research community, which creates and disseminates regionally and internationally influential business and management research with a major focus on the Arab Region and Emerging Markets. TAG-CRC initiative is the first of its kind in business schools in Jordan that aims to strategically focus on putting theory into practice. The business world is witnessing unprecedented and substantial changes in almost every aspect and country that force every recognized business school, especially in developing countries, to thoroughly comprehend global business challenges and opportunities.
As a pioneering research institution in Jordan, TAG-CRC is unique since it has acquired unique resources and endorsed by TAG-College and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) that has a long history of experience, success and entrepreneurship initiatives in providing professional services regionally and internationally. TAG-CRC is committed to pursuing rigorous multidisciplinary business research which is up-to-date and has practical and professional outcomes and implications. This distinctive research is central to the TAG-CRC activities in order to bridge gaps between business theories and practices. TAG-CRC is organized to provide and sponsor research in business areas that have international reputation and a significant presence and impact within the business arena.
TAG-CRC academics play a major a role in the regional and international academic community through publishing research in peer-reviewed international journals, attending international and regional conferences and holding visiting professorships in recognized universities. TAG-CRC academics research generates and advances new knowledge and ideas, inspires new thoughts, underpins new teaching contents and methods, encourages cross-cultural research and supports relationships with recognized universities, businesses, other research institutions and non-for-profit organizations both nationally and internationally. All these partnerships inspire research projects and initiatives with high relevance to the current and future business challenges and opportunities encountered by business and organizations, encouraging the development of business theories, models, and ways of working and thinking that can add significant value and underpin competitive advantages for businesses and knowledge for academics. Our major focus is on the Arab Region and Emerging Markets especially those that have already established international business presence, practices and flavors.

TAG-CRC research projects and initiatives explore research areas including, but not limited to, management, marketing, accounting, finance, risk management and Islamic finance and studies, which are all have a very strong international flavor, presence and lead to open up new knowledge and research streams. TAG-CRC is also active in several theoretical areas of business, including research being undertaken, cases being developed and teaching being delivered in our graduate programmes which are distinguished and supported by international organizations. TAG-CRC is proud of being part of TAG-College and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg), and support research projects that advance our knowledge, produce new knowledge, and bridge gaps between theory and practice, which are of paramount importance to business and management policy and strategy makers in the Twenty First Century.
